in a country like brazil, where women face issues like sexism, femicide and gender inequality on a daily basis, only 10% of federal deputies are females. among other problems, being underrepresented means relying on men to get our voices heard and our battles fought— and most of the time they don’t know what it is that we really need.

2018 being an election year we wanted to bring more women to be part of the parliament. so we created an online campaign that shows what happens when we let men speak for us. we quoted some of the sexist comments made by male politicians when it comes to both women’s role in society and rights we’ve been trying so hard to win.
